Lesson 9: Colour sensor

In today's lesson we were asked a question.
"Suppose you turn off the lights and then close the windows, so that the room is completely dark. Should a robot with a downward-facing Colour Sensor still be able to find a black line on a white board?"
And I would have to say yes. The colour sensor works by measuring the amount red, green, and blue light that a surface reflects. and since there is light coming from the sensor, I would guess that that is the purpose of it.
I'm guessing that it should be able to sense the colour even when there's no light by using the light from the sensor itself
